Data consumers come in different flavors and often have different needs. This two-part panel session discusses both: 1) the user who wants a small set of data items but needs it mashed up with other data sets, as well as historical data for time series analysis; and 2) the user who wants every line item he can get his hands on, describing the minute details of corporate performance. Experts on the XBRL and database side discuss the issues in catering to both data consumers, covering areas such as mapping to other data sets, historical data, managing granular data, normalization issues, and other technical considerations.
